Construction on US 51 - Stay Informed

We want to keep you informed about ongoing road construction in our area that may impact your route to Chalet Veterinary Clinic. While construction directly in front of our clinic won’t begin until Stage 2 in June, Stage 1 is already underway and includes a closure of US 51 from east of Spring Road to the intersection of County Road N through June 2025.

What to Expect:
- Barricades are in place on Main Street at the intersection of County Road N and next to the Chalet Dr intersection
- The stoplight at Main St and County Road N is disabled, affecting traffic flow
- Left and right turns from County Road N onto Main St are closed to traffic
- GPS and map apps may provide incorrect directions, so please follow posted detour signs to reach us
- Be on the lookout for orange arrow detour signs that have our logo - these are placed around the area to help direct you

No thru traffic is allowed, but business patrons are allowed to bypass the barricades at the intersection of Chalet Dr and Main St. Please use extra caution at this intersection as most traffic is being re-routed around the area.

*If you are coming from within Stoughton, you just need to bypass the barricades at the intersection of Chalet Dr. 
*If you are coming from Madison or the surrounding area via County Hwy N you will need to follow the posted detour. (See below for map photo labeled Image A)
*If you are coming from Edgerton, Janesville, or you usually come to Stoughton via the 156 Exit you will need follow the posted detours. (See below for map photo labeled Image B)
