Construction on US 51 - Stay Informed

UPDATE 6/23/25

Phase 2 of the US HWY 51 (Main Street) construction project began today and is expected to continue through August. This phase includes the section from the intersection of Hwy N to Church Street. The map image below shows the Phase 2 Construction Plan. 

At this time, we have not received official guidance on a designated detour route. However, we have been assured that access to businesses within the construction zone—including Chalet Veterinary Clinic—will be maintained throughout the project.

Currently, clients can have been able to reach us via the Hwy N (Veteran’s Road) intersection. When last checked, Chalet Drive remained accessible through staggered barricades that may be bypassed to enter. Some alternate side streets may provide access, but we’re unable to confirm their reliability during construction.

We understand that navigating the construction can be extremely frustrating, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility. Unfortunately, the only official detour information available pertains to traffic being rerouted around the construction area to downtown Stoughton, and we plan to share updates as soon as we receive them.
